  1. In deepskystacker. Whatever stacking settings it recommends. I did do some more googling, could it be grid noise from using such a high ISO?
  2. Hi folks, I have been lurking here no end as I am starting my journey into astrophotography, and you have provided no end of tips, so thanks. I need some more specific help. After stacking my images and starting to process, horrible vertical lines come to light with a stretch. I couldn't find anything on google. I don't think it's from the stacking process. Correct me if I am wrong. I believe they are present in the individual subs. Equipment: Celestron Travel Scope 70mm Nikon D5300 unmodified Cheap LP filter Basic manual Alt-Az mount/tripod Images: 20 Dark frames 20 Bias frames 300 light frames (1.3 sec exposures 6400 ISO) (excuse the poor photo-shopping too, I wasn't about to waste time on it) I know my equipment is very, very basic and I shouldn't expect much, that said without the lines I would be more than happy with the result. I want to build up and enjoy the journey from the beginning. It's about the journey as much as the destination for me! So is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance and clear skies.
