  1. Hmmm https://www.bresser.de/en/Discontinued/Yukon-NRB-30x50-Binoculars.html
  2. I'd love to have a guy with some. But my eyes are incredibly different, with the vision in my right eye being pretty poor, whilst my left is short sighted but otherwise ok. I'm not sure I'd benefit from bino viewing.
  3. I couldn’t see it cheaper on his own page either and, in fact, the P&P was 99p more! But, like you, I couldn’t find the Starguiders cheaper — or even in stock — anywhere else. Bought the 8mm via eBay and am eagerly awaiting delivery later in the week.
  4. I didn’t see the special coupon code thing 😖
  5. I think it’s incredibly good of Steve to be so actively responding here on a Sunday.
  6. Actually breathtaking. I imagine Doctor Who’s face emerging.
  7. Right then — that’s ordered 🙂
  8. Does anyone have any experience with this supplier? I found a reference to them in an old blog and they have some BST Starguider's in stock. But I've never heard of them and want to be sure that it is trustworthy.
  9. Thanks gents. What are the differences in design - are the mirrors different then? ie the CC doesn't have two hyperbolic mirrors?
  10. Okay, so for the novices among us (me), what's the difference between a CC and a RC?
  11. Toying with the idea of trying to swap the legs of my AZ GOTO to fit the mount to a more sturdy tripod, but can't figure out how to get a spanner or ratchet on to the fastening bolts. Any thoughts?
  12. Thanks, Steve. Looks like I have no choice but to go for a Nirvana then! Shame huh.
  13. Resurrecting this thread to ask for opinions about the OVL Nirvana 7mm. I think I've seen @johninderby say positive things about it elsewhere, and I see that @ScouseSpaceCadet has also listed it. I'm toying with this one because, frankly, it's in stock! I want to get hold of one for the October half-term. Thoughts please 🙂 Or should I just double my spend and get a 50 deg TV plossl at 8mm? Maybe that will go on my Xmas list ...
  14. Hi @FLO, how are stocks of eyepieces at the mo? I'm after a BST Starguider or/and SW planetary UWA.
  15. I would take the refund and keep the scope. You then have spares should you need them, or a project. You could buy another mirror set from elsewhere and use the tube. How much did you pay for it?
  16. The stock Sky-watcher 10mm eyepiece is poor. I imagine a 3.2mm probably wouldn't serve your scope too well, and I wonder if something like a 7 or 8mm might be better. Someone cleverer than I will be able to point you to the calcliations needed to reveal highest practical power for your scope.
