  1. LDN 1235 - The Dark Shark Nebula in Cepheus. It is composed of interstellar gas and dust. Gravity, acting upon the interstellar gas and dust, makes this a likely star forming region. The Shark nebula lies about 650 light years away toward the constellation of the King of Aethiopia (Cepheus).
  2. I hear the new backlit sony sensors do a great job on RGB targets, I won't debate that. In an area with limited clear skies narrowband imaging is rewarding when the Moon is an influence. There are filters to isolate NB with OCS cameras but when Ha and Sii are both in the red channel (25% of pixels) it can't be ideal. Here are some of my NB images.
  3. I bought CHROMA 3NM 50MM SQUARE narrowband filters in January 2018 for $760 a piece. They are not $1550 a piece. Wowser.
  4. WOW barkingsteve, very impressive!! How much difference does the "642 ir pass filter" contribute to your images?
