@saacThanks.

Hopefully this is an improvement on last year's image, this should have been 4 hrs or so, but what with wind and cloud (it was supposed to be clear) it ended up at 75 mins of 60's, 60's due to wind and cloud.

This is the first time I have tried a photo montage from video sequences of the Moon. This is from 4 1,000 frame clips shot at 5x digital zoom, with my Canon 6D and using backyardeos with my SW 200P mounted on an NEQ6 Pro.

My attempt at the M81 group of galaxies, 15/01/2020
-
30x 60's subs, flats, bias & darks.
First real attempt at a galaxy other than the Andromeda one.Just one problem, I set the ISO high to do a test frame shot and forgot to rest it, not sure if thats why it's soft or just the focus.

I like the gentle colours, shame about the plane. I'me sure there's a way of editing it out or maybe try re-stacking without that frame.
I could redo and drop the sub with the track in it but at only 10 subs it would lose I think, anyway the angle of the track doesn't to me actually detract to much, it adds to the dynamism of our skies, it could also be used to help ban aircraft at night 😉
This is my first attempt on the new driven mount up until this mount I have only ever been able to static on either a tripod and camera lens or the EQ5 mount max about 1/4-1/2's
One other thing i notice from many M42 images is how blown out the centre is, I will get better at this. I also did a few star clusters Xmas Tree and the Beehive, I will post later nothing great but colourful stars.

I know not brilliant, but it was my first imaging session with the new mount.
