  1. Ok on a Norwegian site they state that It can be delivered I a compile of weeks? Is this not true? Hmm. And the power situation? What's that? Do it require som special kind of equipment? I use a transformator from 230V to 12V.. That one more thing I don't quite get. In my eagle control application it says lov power warning.. so the Celestron dewring is not getting any power.. dontou know if I need to have the primaluchelab original power supply?
  2. Any advantages of the ipolar version of hae43? How do I control the mount from say Firecapture? I guess it's not eqmod 😂🤣 I really hate eqmod... Thanks for all the help so far much appreciated.. I might add that I really wish I'd bought a harmonic drive back in 2020 when I aquired the c11. I went with the neq6pro since it was a package.. but I think it was about 2000€ many a bit more actually back then. And as of now.. it's so much bad weather.. when on a rare occasion it is ok weather it's a real hassle to move just alone the c11 out for colling. With all the cables and the extra eight of 2 dovetails and the primalucelab eagle.. when the session is over and in tired and freezing cold I really really hate the part when it's time to get that big heavy neq6pro mount inside again.. just those counter weights are 15kgs alone.. I'm getting sick just thinking of it now. But back then I did not know about the harmonic drive mounts. So it's really tempting to just go for a new mount, just to get away from all that hard to deal with weight and the brain dead silly rs232 eqmod cable thingy and horrible written backyard software... I know it's freeware and people have good use of it. But in my eyes the whole EQMOD thing is crap and belongs to the 90's..
  3. Do you think this mount will be ok for my setup? https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/language/en/info/p16180_iOptron-HAE29-Strain-Wave-AZ-EQ-Mount-with-Case.html in the video on that site it's a Celestron c11 with camera equipment mountet. Weighing 14kgs. I guess my setup is about 2kgs heavier than that.
  4. No but I'm gomne check today. Just not sure when I get around to it. I will post as soon as I do.
  5. When I used it last time it was as follows. Baader Diamondtracker crayford -> omegon flip mirror -> Zwo filter wheel -> Zwo 290mm all of these things are thread together (M2). Last night It was as follows: baader crayford -> one spacer( 20mm I think )with the VIP barlow inside T2 threads -> Zwo filter wheel -> Zwo 290mm So flip mirror is gone and vip Barlow added. I guess that part takes away 90mm and the Barlow adds about 20-30mm.
  6. If really like more thoughts are this to if people have other thoughts. I will triy in a few hours to have a crack at it
  7. Hmmm okay. I'm really really angry at myself for both thinking of focus first.. now I have to recollinamate. Oh well.. probably needed that after the test down anyway. Thanks buddy will try in daylight tomorrow. Still think it's odd though that I did not pick up ANY light at all. Guess I'll live and learn😂🤣 I'll post after having a crack at it tomorrow
  8. Hi! After opening up my c11 and cleaning everything and reassembling it again I did a number of upgrades: Celestron dewheater ring, new camera Zwo 290mm added a barlow : Baader VIP, Baader diamond track focuser, Zwo motor for the focuser and I use Zwo filter wheel. I also installed the primalucelab eagle 4, and everything is controlled through that device. I have order a 60mm finderscope with Zwo 174mm camera too. Tonight I was taking it out just to try it out while I wait for the finderscope and after setting up and starting Firecapture I get NOTHING but black. After a while I tried to put a flash light in front of the scope, and still not hint of light at all.... At this point I'm starting to get nervous and i tried to adjust the collimation screws thinking I might have altered the secondary mirror position when cleaning it.. in my frustration I came to think of that I removed my flipmirror when setting things back together, so I guess after removing a that big/long part from the image train the focus will be WAY off. My thought is MABYE the telescope was so out of focus that it don't even detect light. So my question is this: is it even possible to defocus so much that no light is detected? or Can the secondary mirror be so out of line that it don't point any light down to the camera. I might add that in my frustration I took out the Zwo and pointed it a light source and the camera picked ut up. No problem..and when I gaze down the tube I can see the filter through the shaft that holdes the primary mirror. I also can swear that after puting things back together I checked that it picked up light when holding flashlight in front of the scope inside.. Im starting to think I really shouldn't have opened it up myself.. even though I followed every steps to the teeth! Anyway, I always get real good help in here so I hope you guys can get me out of this jam too.
  9. Thanx for good answer. But the balancing part.. im not planing to use counterweight. So is it still a issue? I was pakning to use the trips from mye neq6pro? Is that not a good match? And I got a tip on hanging some weight down under the mount in a chin or something to make it stable and not tip over. If I have the money I'll guess I'll go for the hae69 it support 31kgs!
  10. Vi om currently using neq6pro for c11 with camera, filter wheel, Barlow, primalucelab eagle 4, finderscope 60mm, and one extra dovetail. So it's not super heavy but I'm guessing around 15-16 KGS. I use this only for planets. It's a hassle to get the c11 + neq6pro out every imaging session and therfore I'm really curious about the ioptron harmonicdrive mounts. I'm guessing hem44 or the hae69. I'm guessing both mount will handle the weight. But are there any conserns? Is the tracking a problem? Will i be able to use Firecapture to control the mount? I read something about it's not good with tracking? Pleas help me. And I'm hoping the cheaper one will be adaquate.
  11. So I guess that's it than. All clean and reassembled in the right order. Hope this turns out good. Fingers crossed. Thanx so much for the help!
  12. Thought I'd just post some pictures from last night reassembly and cleaning session. This is the way I had it mounted. Bulge outwards from the T2 adapter. It's clearly which way the bulge is faceing. The whole cleaning station This is the camera side. And I think I dig a good job capturing the glare. You can clearly see that the bulge is faceing inwards in the T2 adapter. Another one just to clearly indicate that the bulge is going inwards. I might also add that I really don't think I opened that side. I tried last night but could not get the locking mechanism open. And I can't renner ever taking it apart on that side either. So my guess is that it's still the way it was from the factory. Here is the lens on its way back home in the T2 adapter again the bulge is facing inwards in the T2 adapter. So from the diagram earlier in this post its the exact opposite. On the picture I. That diagram these two lenses have their bulge facing outwards. And these three last pics is just to illustrate that it's complete and cleans etc, and also to show a lable throug both sides and the lable without the Barlow. In my head if this was the right configuration you'd see som magnification? And when I just held the one out of the 3 lenses in this Barlow Infront of things, they actually got magnified.. But I guess that when this sits in its place in the image train behind the telescope mabye that combo will make it magnify anyway? Kinda feeling like a blind man in the jungle here. Please help. All contributions are much appreciated.
  13. Okay thank you. But when you touch the lens. Is the concave going inwards in the Barlow. Or do the bulge. Go in towards the eye? In the drawing the bulge goes outwards on both side of the Barlow. Damn I wish I could make myself more clear..
  14. Okay. Thanx for update. I'm sucking in all I can get a will make a note of that to. Thank you!
  15. Hi again. I'm not sure om making myself clear here. I don't have time tonight to open it up again. But my main problem is remembering if the concave side "the bowe" is pointing bow to the eye or bow away from the eye. And the same question for the other side. In the image I attached both lenses are pointing bow to the eye and the other side of Barlow pointing bow to the telescope. Like this: eye side (==) telescope side if that made any sense... I'm attaching some pictures of my Barlow and I hope it can help you guys understand me. I understand I'm real bad at explaining. But the way it sits right now is at the eye side the bow is pointing away from the eye. And on the telescope side the bow is pointing to the telescope. Like this: Eye side )==) Telescope side. Never ever thought I'd use ASCII to explain something in 2023 🤣😂
  16. Kinda feel this is right. The "telecentric focal extender". So that the two outer lenses are facing outwards like in this picture. looks right?
  17. Hmmm. That's so dumb. I feel that if this is on Firecapture or eqmod side, they should fix it. If it is just that we havetoo poor mounts than that's okay I guess. Or many this is just user error I tore mye while setup down and cleaned it this weekend. Took of the corrector platen and washed both mirrors. Modified the dowtail and added a primalucelab dowtail with the primalucelab eagle 4 PC. Also bought a Celestron c11 dew ring. So I'm kinda excited to get all of this up and running soon. Gonna pay close attention to all details while installing software and settings this time. Take good time and I will report back if I get things working good a tracking ok. If the autoguide could work as in the Firecapture toturial video than it would be a perfect life in a peefect world from then on 🤣😂
  18. I'm sad to say that yes I did. I don't know how. But some way it had gotten dust inside. But realise I should not have opened it up.. anyway. If you could check your VIP and see if the glass "bow" is pointing in or out? And please check both the eye side and the telescope side. It's hard to see in the images Wich way the lenses are mounted..
  19. Ok so what is was set the settigns back to scratch. And I entered -1,000 insted of positive numbers. I only did this on the horizontal axis. And I really worked out 99% perfect. But what I noticed is that if something crashes or freezes or I change something like kinda unusual settings it stops to work. I tried to activate autoguide and than it went really crazy and when I got back to no guiding the whole thing still acted crazy. Needed to debit the laptop and sett some of the settings back before it started to function correctly again. So I guess this is a trial and error situation.
  20. Hi! Thank you so very much for good pictures! So from what I can see here the round side is face outward on both sides. Right?
  21. You don't use eqmod? Hmm I will fire up my laptop and try now
  22. Hi! I have a neq6 pro and a c11 with 2x Barlow and a zwo 290mm. I also have a finder scope a d filpmirror with a eyepiece with crosshair. My problem is that in firecapturei get s error message when initializing scope mount that some values can't be used. And that I need to manually insert them. So my EQ mount won't track anywhere near OK.. and when I hit autoguid for planets and lunar/moon. It really starts acting crazy. When I try to insert values for sending periodic corrections to mount it just seems to get worse what ever I try. Please help me because Im starting to get real frustrated now.
