Hi! The forecast is for clear skies across the board tonight here in Kent so I plan on making the most of it! I will be visiting a quiet beach along the North Kent coast where I've seen spectacular dark skies in the past but this time I'll be armed with my binoculars. 🕵️‍♀️ Is there anything you would recommend looking out for at this time of year? Hi Im Cary! I am an artist who uses space, stars, planets and so on as inspiration for my work but I have neglected actual hands on astronomy. This wont do. Im new here (obviously) and at the moment am just getting to grips with the basics, observing with some bins, learning to navigate the sky and so on. Even so I couldn't believe how much more is visible with such simple equipment! It really is amazing! Im just hoping I can justify splashing out on a nice shiny telescope at some point (one step at a time though!) Believe it or not I haven't actually tried my hand at any sketching yet, but Im sure I will be posting my early attempts up soon! Hopefully will get to know you soon! Cary
