  1. Here is a cool app that shows you realtime the moons phase https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.daylightmap.moon.pro.android
  2. How do you keep the histogram at 1/3? I cant figure it out.. I use the white tshirt trick with a white ipad screen. Dslr set to Av mode, same ISO as lights but the histogram is always around 1/2. I have tried lower the brightness of the screen and folded my tshirt but still no 1/3...
  3. Okey cool, yea I have around in 5-6 bortle scale here so its ok for me 😁 got any link, tips for a cheap guide system? I have my eyes on this combo from FLO https://www.firstlightoptics.com/guide-cameras/sky-watcher-9x50-finder-adapter-zwo-asi120mm-bundle.html but this is almost as same price as my evostar.. are there any cheaper combos ?
  4. okey, thanks. I have heard that without autoguiding around 90 sec is whats best for heq 5 pro.. but Ill try 2 min tonight 😃
  5. I can try a bit more but I dont want too much noice..
  6. Yesterday was the day i finally got everything right with polar align, focus and clear skies (but very windy) I couldn't decide what to photograph so I went with the veil nebula. (not the best first object , but fun anyway) ISO 800 Shutterspeed 90 sec No guidescope 30 lights, 20 darks, 20 flat, 20 bias 97% waxing moon What do you think of my final edit? I I don't know much about Photoshop so I just followed a YouTube video.
  7. I finally managed to make a good focus yesterday, i can show you a pic and what parts I used tomorrow. But I have evostar 72ed, ovl flattner, t2 ring and m48 adapter. But when i used the m48 adapter and the ovl flattner the distance was to long to get focus.. So i removed the m48 adapter and just used the standard "part" - >ovl flattener - >t2 ring - >dslr
  8. New question: Do I have to adjust the screws on the polar scope to make an object in center of my polar scope before i use it to polar find? In my image below i have paintrd a radiotower, so what im wondering is does the white dot have to be complete still when I rotate the ra axis? Or is this just needed if I use the clock rings on the mount? I hope you understand what i mean.. Because yestarday when i finally pilar aligned and had a great focus i tried to photo andromeda galaxy, but after just 20-30 sec i had some star driftig... I have no guidescope yet but that shouldt be needed on so short exposers right?
  9. Update: I manage to focus now, the problem was that the mount didnt even go near any of the stars so when I used my red dot finder i had to slew a long way before i centered the star..
  10. On friday I can finally begin this cool hobby without clouds! (hopefully) 😄
  11. Heq 5 pro Evostar 72ed Field flattner (non reducer) Canon eos 1100d
  12. Yesterday was my first time trying to use my new gear, but I coundnt find a way to star align... I put polaris in my polar scope (i think) and then i choose 1 star alignment i couldnt find any stars in my dslr live view or apt live view screen... I havent installed my red dot finder scope from my old telescope to this one, maybe that helps? I followed these steps in this video In this video he can see stars on the dslr screen, my is completely black... Help....
  13. Hmm i have tried different screws but the threads of the dovetail and The rings are complete different so if one screw fits the dovetail it doesnt go into the rings...
  14. I have heq5 pro with evostar 72ed, flattner and dslr. But with this setup the camera makes it alittle back heavy, does anyone have a solution to this? I got a long dovetail bar with the mount but I cannot fit the rings to it so I have to use the dovetail bar that came with the telescope.. The threads are also different than the rings that holds the telescope..
  15. How did you balance the equipment? I have almost the same gear and when I put the counterweight to the top is just alittle heavier than the telescope, can you post a pic?
  16. Can someone give me a fast tutorial on how exactly to read this app, what does everything mean? And what is good and bad? What exactly are people looking at when using this app?
  17. Hi! I have just bought a heq5 pro and I have some questions... 1. Level. I have watched many astronomy videos and almost all of them uses a small level tool to level out all three legs on the mount. But on many mounts like the heq5 pro there is a built In bubble leveler.. Is it better to use a small level tool than the bubble? 2. Polar align. I have read and watched many polar align videos but I'm still insecure on how I should do it... The mount has a RA index scale, and a date circle. What I have understood is that those are for enter date and time to find Polaris, right? But do I have to use those scales if I use a polar finder app that tells me were to put Polaris in my polar scope? Like the photo below After this I should do 3 star alignment for more accurate tracking (I only have dslr to align with) right? 3. Home position. This is needed right? if so, how does it work and how do I do it?
  18. How about this? https://www.biltema.se/bil---mc/elsystem/starthjalp/starthjalp-12-v-400-a-2000035160 This is cheaper than a powertank, what are your thougts about this?
  19. okey thanks for letting me know 😃 but this will work right? https://astro.astrosweden.se/sv/articles/2.155.1689/ts-optics-kompakt-stromkalla-12vdc5a its from a astronomy store near me
