  1. Tempt me not! This hobby is pricey enough as it is!
  2. DSOs in the daytime!? By crikey, I'd just be happy with a filter that could see through clouds.....
  3. What an enviable location! Better than mine and well shot Scott
  4. Nae bad for all that! At least you have sun, it's been mostly cloudy these last few days on Lewis.
  5. Bresser Germany is usually kind enough to send spares out - does anyone understand why they fail and, obviously, there's no alternative. What exactly is its function - would we know if we didn't use the bg filter?
  6. I seem to have to replace mine yearly! Kept through the winter months in the cool and dry - don't know what else I could do!
  7. Night 6-7th June 2022 I need a better location NLC 6_7 June 2022_small.mp4
  8. Cracking detail. That's a keeper I reckon.
  9. Very nice Stu. I mean that granite looking ball on the table
  10. Last night Glendale App reported more than a few sightings. If anyone else uses the app, do you know how to add late reports of NLCs? Looking Northwest from my location I suffer from a lot of sunglow, hence this image isn't brilliant - you can see slightly clearer on the time lapse. North is just on the edge of the forest in from the right on the image. Aurora cam setup - ZWO 178 MC run under AllSkyEye software.
  11. Pop into Solarchatforum, there's likely plenty of suggestions available there.
  12. Looks like the mice have been eating the edges - it must be made of cheese! Seriously good image....
  13. Have you seen ? https://www.astrobin.com/7o9mpn/?active=2015&page=2&end_date=2015-04-15 Although it's not the Quark with the built in barlow... Uses a yellow derf
  14. Great detail. Looks like we're in for more cloud up here.
  15. I use my 102 for CaK and WL ( Lunt wedge ) - neither wedges get anywhere near warm, so I feel assured by that. As fas as I can remember the William Optics is a three element version, is the TS optics similar?
  16. Interesting you've been told not; wonder why? Cloudynights article suggests external erf - usual issue with managing heat in the tube. What does Daystar recommend, or your normal supplier . I've just put a quark on my wishlist to use either with my william optics 102 gt or as a "cheapish" doublestack on my lunt ls60.
  17. Mike will likely answer, but I would guess not. My experience with the Wyze are they seem to be very proprietary, though to be honest I haven't yet gotten into the depths of what's possible with them. I initially got one for auroras, but I still use the AllSkEye software with a ZWO camera.
  18. Cracking detail on those last two images. Hopefully by this weekend we'll have some sun of our own up here!
