  1. Non really, I supposed I want be able to image deep sky stuff with good quality but then look at local stuff like planets, for immediate impact, for the wife....lol. For imaging i was gonna try my Olympus 4/3rds camera as it's nice and light which has wifi so no wires to worry about.
  2. I do like the look of the Orion 10" f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope or even the 8" version. Good price and seen images on here taken through them. I also like the look of the Meade lx85 mount with goto etc. It's payload weight is a little more than the heq5. Any thoughts on these combinations. The 10" orion weighs in at 11.6kg the 8 " at 7.9kg. The payload capacity of a meade lx85 mount is 15kg whereas the heq5 is 11kg for photography.
  3. Seen these advertised, do these do most things. Orion 10" f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope or even the 8" version.
  4. I know the mount is important, but is there a scope, size, quality that actually does both viewing and astrophotography well. Or do I have to buy a 10"- 12" scope, stick it on a decent mount and then buy an astrograph as well for taking photos. I see big meades on the bay up for sale for between £1300-£1600. Second hand are these any good for taking photos.
  5. I have been looking at your scope, but just spotted a Meade LX200 GPS 8" on ebay for £750.... so there is some competition out there for buyers bucks. Si
