  2. Hi everyone been some time since i was last here..Ive changed the scopes I had back thenall my Tal scopes have gone to different owners... I now have a 130 mm skywatcher dob and a skywatcher 130 skyscan..I have tried collimating them both using a laser collimator and a cross air type one to but I`m not getting them right, I do everything as it shows me even watched youtube vids and still the collimating is slighty out..I`ve just sent now for a collimator cap hoping that will help..If anyone can help it will be muchly appreciated I`m stumped as I cant use the reflewctor type so I`m having to lug my big gun around the Skywatcner 150n refractor the oder Blue model as its so big its more like a canon lol but as much as i love it , I dont want to be lugging this around all the time at my age lol ..thankyou in advance Phil
  3. Thanks Keith but I spoke too soon Thick grey cloud rolling in from the irish sea nr Blackpool here I doubt by time it gets dark the skies will still be clear ..beautful and clear all day here ..and as always seems night falls and clouds roll in ...GRRRRRRRRRRR so frustrating ..oh well I can watch Star Trek lol
  4. Well its clear out so far hope it stays this way for a few more hours at least...Gonna give the Orion XT 10 dobsonian its first outing as it arrived today, looks a beast I hope all the reviews Ive read about it are as good as they tell me really excited cant wait for darkness to fall...gonna hit the two star cluster under the W of Cassiopea first as this is one of my fav constellations for rich fields hopefully they will be even richer thru` the 10 inch then have a whip round the heavens to see some other sights ..Bodes and Andromeda Galaxy`s...no doubt I`ll come back and let you know later how the views are. will be using Orion 2inch eyepiece 22m and my Tal 25m plossl eyepiece<<I love this Tal one always seems so sharp and crystal and also the Orion E series Zoom eyepiece gonna get off here and adjust my eyes to the dark hope to msg you later for the rundown ..clear skies to all
  5. Thanks guys I do have a few eyepieces from my Tal scopes which are always good I recently purchase a Burgess optical Planetary zoom eyepiece SWA-58-6 WA plossl 6mm eyepiece... and also a Orion E- series zoom eyepiece 7-21mm zoom...wont know how well these will work in the Dob until we get rid of this cloud we seem to be plagued with..got the usual lens from my celestron scope that came with the 70mm refractor also i got a RK 20mm< this was given to me appears to be decent..so a reasonable bundle of eye pieces if you add in the original tal ones too..o i really need fork out any more money. I will look at the flo optics you mentioned but will only buy if i really need to replace the ones i already have ..thanks for your relies gents...phil bod
