  1. Thanks Carole, I'm using Starlight Live 3.3 with an Ultrastar Color camera for EAA. I've taken a number of darks with different exposure times, i.e. 5 secs, 10 secs and so on with stack of 10 for each exposure time. I saved them to a drive. Then I load one to match the time for the exposure that I am acquiring. Ex, I load the 5 sec dark frame, then acquire an image for the same 5 secs.
  2. Thanks Olly, my focus is EAA with the Ultrastar, so it appears I'm going about it the wrong way and darks shouldnt be used the way I am attempting?
  3. What am I doing wrong? I've take some Dark Frames of different exposure times, i.e. 5 secs, 10 secs and so on of 10 frames each and saved them. I then restore the one that I want to use for the image I'm going to acquire. In other words, I'll restore the 5 sec dark frame for an image acquisition of the same exposure time. Using the Ultrastar camera. The problem is there is no image seen when acquiring. I've tried all the various settings under "display processing" but nothing is seen on the screen. So long as I don't use a dark frame that I've created, everything works fine, but when I use a dark frame I see nothing. Ideas please?
  4. Okay, I found something. On the iMac it isn't working on, if in the starlight live software, under settings, under "live view display settings", if I select "smooth", it appears to work. I'll know for sure tonight when I am able to test on a star, but it appears to work. It will not work on "fast". Does this make sense to anyone? The "fast" settings works on all of my other computers, including Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, iMac 2013 and Windows 10 Pc.

  6. I have an Ultrastar Color camera. I'm having difficulty with Starlight Live on my iMac. I have the latest version installed. When I load the software the camera is connected, but when I try to acquire an image, I never see anything. The bar at the left bottom of the screen indicates the image is being acquired, but the software image screen remains black no matter how I change the exposure settings. It works perfectly on my Windows 10 pc, but I need to use it on my iMac. Any suggestions? Thanks so much, Joel
