I didn't think you would need to fit an IR filter to a PST since the Etalon should be cutting out the IR? Maybe with a different scope on planets it could be useful...
Did you manage to get focus without using an extension tube or Barlow?

This is very interesting Mike' date=' we can see your developments with imaging as we go from one image to the next. What rapid growth! I can't compete with pictures like that but maybe one day,.. :rolleyes:

Hi Isabelle,
Thank you for your kind words and of course you can take pictures like these! The equipment I use is modest and my experience even more so. I'm hoping that by posting a dynamic list of all the deep sky images I've taken, warts and all, it might help someone else who is just getting started, like I was last autumn.
We've all got to start somewhere and I've have also seen some beautiful and inspirational images, sketches and observations by others on this forum that have spurred me on :)
I hope you're enjoying astronomy in whatever way you can :)
