Messier 33 the Triangulum Galaxy in L HaRGB.. Combining all the data I have collected over the years:- LHaRGB from Esprit150ASI1600 in 2018, Esprit150SX46 Lum and Esprit100ASI1600 RGB from 2019 and Esprit150ASI294 Lum and Esprit100QHY600 Lum from 2023. Data combined using NSG script in Pixinsight and APP, processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop to bring out the rich Ha regions.. the Esprit100QHY data was used to provide some space around the galaxy. In total 10hrs of Lum, 3 hours each of RGB and 1.5 hrs of Ha
Thanks for looking

I like it, the purples around the bright stars just come from the fact that the Oiii (Blue) and Sii (Red) are stretched much harder than the Ha... simple to remove ... invert the image then run scnr... re-invert and its gone... it goes everywhere though so best to mask the areas where you want it to remain. Also I'd suggest it would benefit from some colour noise reduction using ACDNR and also if you have it Noise Exterminator to reduce general noise,

Looks like a dead column or two David.. easy to fix in Pixinsight using the linear Defect List option in Cosmetic Correction ... so if you have Pixinsight ...open a raw sub open Cosmetic Correction and click on Defect List, click on the bad column and it should be recognised.. Then run CC ... if doing WBPP set up CC as a template before hand and apply it in WBPP.. Also works well for correcting this sensors hot pixels..
Good to see you back
all the best .

Is that the 10:30 "fly me to the moon" talk? Looking forward to that one. In fact, there isn't one that i'm not interested in seeing. The idea being that if i stay busy with the conference i'll have less opportunity to overspend in the exhibition. 🤑
No it's a separate Exhibition over at Lightroom behind Kings Cross.. The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks (lightroom.uk)

Going down for the weekend with a couple of astro buddies, tickets bought for the conference on both days and The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks show on Sunday. Should be a great weekend🙃
I'll be there Friday.. You'll enjoy Moonwalkers.. I went on Tuesday and it was amazing, the area around Kings Cross is also very interesting

These look very nice and I had considered swapping out my GT71 for something with a focuser with no droop, however Blur Exterminator @$99 fixes all your telescopes in one hit..

My third attempt at this from the UK.. Data collection started February 2020 through Esprit150SX46 and Esprit100ASI1600, then, having been informed that there was a tidal loop continued in 2022 with the same kit and still chasing the loop completed last week through the Esprit150 which now has a QHY600m on it and which with its much lower noise than the SX46 finally started to show the tidal loop without an unacceptable level of noise. In all 20hours of Lum plus 7 each of RGB. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop..

Stunning 👏🏻👏🏻
is my maths correct, over 41 hours of integration time…😮😮
Thank you Stuart ... yes it is .. having 3 scopes on the mount helps (and that's not counting the Askar200 and ST80 guidescope)

Here's mine.... SH2-261 Lower's Nebula halfway up Orion's raised right arm presented using the Foraxx palette script from Pixinsight. 12 hours of Ha through Esprit150QHY600m, 9hours Oiii and 6 hours Sii through Esprit100ASI294mm all mounted on the trusty Mesu. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop with full use made of Russ Croman's tools. Ha, Oiii ands Sii integration files registered, corrected using BXT in correct mode, stars removed using SXT, noise reduced using NXT, Stretched with Histogram and GHS, Oiii and Sii further blurred in Photoshop, Ha, Oiii and Sii combined using Pixinsight Foraxx script, Stretched Ha applied as Luminance, a touch of LHE and MMT sharpening, Then into Photoshop for final noise reduction, colour enhancement using LABcol and Selective colour and addition of Ha stars in Screen mode.

Both superb Dave. The first with the dust gives that image (especially around Sh2-261) a real sense of extra depth, the second has some lovely details and colour throughout.
Thank you Lee

Clear skies allowed me to get this... Oiii not as strong as I'd expected, Sii remarkably strong .

Following on from @ollypenrice's post last Saturday the clear cold skies experienced this week allowed me to take a look at Lower's Nebula in Orion's right arm. In total I collected 14 hrs of colour through GT71ASI2600, 12 hours of Ha and 20 minutes each RGB through Esprit150QHY600m and 9hours Oiii and 6 hours Sii through Esprit100ASI294mm all mounted on the trusty Mesu. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop with full use made of Russ Croman's tools. Prior to imaging I had expected (as Olly also did) that the Oiii signal would be strong, however this did not turn out to be the case with the Sii signal being significantly stronger and more extensive. I've made two images form the data.. a fairly wide field one using the GT71ASi2600 data with the hi res Ha added and a high res close up in the Foraxx palette. I've also included stretched Ha, Oiii and Sii .
Thanks for looking

I do indeed, it will be 10 years old this year. I dip into the Sitech forum regularly, blinky mode on the Sitech II is not unheard of, hence my concern.
But my immediate hardware problem is with my 3 year old QHY268c camera which appears to have developed a temperature sensor fault…😒
hi Steve.. possibly the low voltage lockout protection on your QhY?

Nice one Olly... clouds permitting I shall take a look

I wonder what problem they were trying to solve by offering a fine focus solution?
Olly
Indeed ... my Lakesides are both set to 25 steps between focus points. Be interesting to know how many steps the focusers designed for the fine side need.

I use a Lakeside on both my Esprit100 and my 150.. (the 120 has the same focuser) it goes on the coarse side

Thanks @Laurin Dave. I have read great things about Mesu mounts and have always remembered @ollypenrice's view that "they just work", which is certainly what I am looking for after this evening. Am I right in thinking that the firmware for the Sitech box now provides for ASCOM park commands and the like?
It certainly does.. mine and others have them set up to control via NInA or SGPro using Sitech as the driver. Olly had the Argo Navis version used it manually

There’s a Mesu 200 on Astrobuysell for £3500.. which might interest you .. plenty of happy Mesu owners on here including myself.

This is posted on the deep sky board but since it's a 42 panel Samyang 135 mosaic I'll pop it here as well. Love this lens!

Hi Olly... I'm sure you know what's just off the image.... but just in case .. When can we expect this? (no need to wait for Mars and a comet)

Marvellous image Olly.. I think you need to get it printed up and placed on the side wall of Les Granges! Great detail at full res... spotted a little Crab, a trace of Spaghetti plus countless more objects which this image places in context.

Here's mine....
Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop...
1. Ha, Sii and Oiii given STF stretch, Ha then given light dose of LHE
2. Combined using Pixinsight Foraxx palette
3. Stars removed using SXT from Foraxx and stretched Ha
4. Selective stretching, Local Histogram enhancement and Saturation GHS and LHE
5. Selective application of Ha and Oiii as luminance
6. Noise reduction using NXT
7. Ha Stars applied as luminance to the Foraxx stars
8. Stars blurred, shrunk and sharpened in Photoshop and applied as Screen layer
9. Curves and levels in Photoshop to finish
