  1. Yes indeed, so i did some convolution to make the cores a bit softer again
  2. Thanks Allan, sure, there's always room for improvement, im no Pixinsight expert by far, i do the best i can with trail and error, but at a certain point i get sick of it and trow it online 😊 I already did some convolution on the stars maybe i'll do some more...
  3. Hi, This is M33 taken over a few nights in october and november, with the Esprit 120 @ F5.25. I wished i had more data, but the weather was not coöperative. Asi 1600mm pro, EQ6R L 5hrs R 3.2hrs G 3.4hrs B 3.4hrs Ha 7Hrs SGP, DSS, PixInsight
  4. Pixinsight is a quest, I can’t tell you how many different processes i’ve tried since i started using Pix... thanks for the tips, i’ll give them a try.
  5. Probably processing, i don’t like overly bright stars on a nebula, so i took the stars out with starnet, worked on the nebula and put them back 0,8x with pixelmath, and i pulled the highlights down twice on the stars.
  6. Hi, this is my latest image and the first of the Soul Nebula. The image was taken with the TS76EDPH @ 342mm F4.5 and ZWO 1600mm pro on the HEQ pro Rowan Integration time is 25hrs, 100 x 5min for each filter S, H and O. Thanks for looking, commenting...
  7. I'm sorry i've missed al these comments above. So about the case, i also think you would have to cut the foam, i'ts a guess, mine hasen't been in the case since i got it.
  8. Nice image Carole 👍 Is this a crop ? Would like to see the full image if possible
  9. Hi, i think this telescope will check most of your boxes, i guess you can do some EAA with it and/or livestacking, but keep in mind this is AltAz, so there will be field rotation. M42 is probable (i could be wrong) the only DSO where you can see a hint of color, but don't expect miracles. Filters like a contrast booster or Oiii for visual just provide some more contrast so the DSO is a bit more defined, but they work best in large aperture scopes, 8" might be not big enough to gain something with a filter if you are not in a dark location.
  10. hi, i use a TeleGizmos 365 cover for mine, but i also put a moist absorber underneath. And when there a long strech of bad astroweather , like now, i take it of . But its been on there for weeks during summer.
  11. Wow, you certainly bought a LOT of gear in those 10 years, and i thought i had to pace myself 😅
  12. Don't get me wrong, i think DSLR's are a great way to get in to the hobby, they have that accessible and familiar feeling, but on a hot summer night, let's just say, that made me cry more than my wallet.... Luckily for you winter is coming....
  13. You probably want a cooled mono cmos cam too, and a 8 position filterwheel, and L R G B Ha Oiii and Sii filter and a flattener and something to help with cable management like the pocket powerbox and a bigger scope, because let's face it an EQ6R with an ED72... and other dovetails and rings and a cardboard box to live in after your wife trows you out the door...
  14. I would also suggest a I7 processor or better with at least 16GB RAM, more is better, and a 256 or 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD but this wil be a 1000£+ machine Happy hunting !
  15. Hi, It's been a busy few days here. Here's NGC 7635 or the Bubble Nebula, shot with the Esprit 120 (cropped image) and asi1600mm pro and SHO filters. This is 10hrs exposure.
  16. Hi, doing some reprocessing while imaging. I've reprocessed my data from NGC6995 and this time i combined it in HOO. Integration time is about 15hrs on the Esprit 120.
  17. Hi, i've imaged the Wizard these past few days, skies weren't great, but after a month of shooting nothing at all i'm not complaining to much, ok maybe a little... Gear used: Esprit 120 with 0.75 reducer from TS ZWO ASI 1600mm pro and Astronomik SHO filters EQ6R PRO showing few heartbeats in PHD2 👌 Thanks for looking/commenting
