  1. This image is a composite of red green and blue images. Colours have been saturated to show the composition of the lunar surface. I know the mineral Moon is not everyone's cup of tea but I think the Moon's colours are just amazing.

I still need to improve my acquisition technique and processing skills as it is not quite yet where I would like it to be.

The full resolution version is probably the best.

  2. Beautiful - I certainly cannot tell this is a mosaic. It is quite similar to an image I posted a few minutes ago. It interesting to compare different telescopes and processing. Keep up with the great work! Piero

  3. Echo here. Excellent! Last night the seeing was just incredible. I normally focus on sharpcap on 100% or 150% max because the image is otherwise too wobbly. Last night I could focus at 400% - S T U N N I N G!

I really look forward to seeing what some of the guys with the large scope have done last night!

  4. Last night there was an interesting passage of the ISS whose path dodged the Moon, Venus and the Pleiades. The picture is an integration of 13 images. There are gaps in the ISS path - as I had taken 10 seconds images with a gap of approx 3-4 seconds between them.

I wonder what the astronauts think of what is happening on planet Earth...

  5. It is really good for an 80mm telescope. I have also used the same setup with the ASI1600 mono , RGB filters and PI processing but a different telescope. Without wanting to detract from your ability - you have load!, I suspect it is the camera that it is really good for this kind of images. Good work! Piero
