The image shows a "mineral Moon" rendition of two recent Full Moons, the Pink Moon of March 2020 where the Moon was 354,000 km away from the Earth and the Cold Moon of December where it was further away at 378,000 km.

Thank you! In effect the image does not look that good unless you look at the detailed. I attach some excerpts to make sure you do not miss them. 🙂

This image is a composite of red green and blue images. Colours have been saturated to show the composition of the lunar surface. I know the mineral Moon is not everyone's cup of tea but I think the Moon's colours are just amazing.

I still need to improve my acquisition technique and processing skills as it is not quite yet where I would like it to be. 

The full resolution version is probably the best.

The seeing was really good last night. For this time I leave the mineral moon composition for a black and white and grey. It is a shame my picture does it not show as gorgeous as it really looked! 

Taken with an Esprit 150 and an ASI1600. Baader RGB filters.

Echo here. Excellent! Last night the seeing was just incredible. I normally focus on sharpcap on 100% or 150% max because the image is otherwise too wobbly. Last night I could focus at 400% - S T U N N I N G!

I really look forward to seeing what some of the guys with the large scope have done last night!

They were all lined last night but amazingly the ISS dodge them like in a cosmic game of snooker... 

By the way I think Venus will be visiting the Pleiades soon... of course it wil be cloudy...

Thank you for the lovely comments. It is always a bit of a challenge to image the Moon when it is so low. There is only a small window after sunset when the sky is dark enough and the Moon is not too low.

Last night there was an interesting passage of the ISS whose path dodged the Moon, Venus and the Pleiades. The picture is an integration of 13 images. There are gaps in the ISS path - as I had taken 10 seconds images with a gap of approx 3-4 seconds between them.

I wonder what the astronauts think of what is happening on planet Earth...

It is really good for an 80mm telescope. I have also used the same setup with the ASI1600 mono , RGB filters and PI processing but a different telescope. Without wanting to detract from your ability - you have load!, I suspect it is the camera that it is really good for this kind of images. Good work! Piero
