  1. This is a very nice image. Congratulations and thank you for sharing! Piero
  2. Never a good idea to process images when the monitor gets reflected sun light! Removed high cloud.😉
  3. This is from last night. Taken with a red filter, an ASI1600 and an Esprit 150. Not easy to capture when it is so low! Better detail here: https://www.astrobin.com/full/c2n13e/0/?nc=pieroc&real=&mod=
  4. The image shows a "mineral Moon" rendition of two recent Full Moons, the Pink Moon of March 2020 where the Moon was 354,000 km away from the Earth and the Cold Moon of December where it was further away at 378,000 km. If you have time, the full view of the detail is highly reccommended at this link: https://www.astrobin.com/full/ne68h2/B/?nc=pieroc&real=&mod= Sure the April 2020 Moon was big! Piero
  5. Thank you! In effect the image does not look that good unless you look at the detailed. I attach some excerpts to make sure you do not miss them. 🙂
  6. This image is a composite of red green and blue images. Colours have been saturated to show the composition of the lunar surface. I know the mineral Moon is not everyone's cup of tea but I think the Moon's colours are just amazing. I still need to improve my acquisition technique and processing skills as it is not quite yet where I would like it to be. The full resolution version is probably the best. https://www.astrobin.com/full/bi2wem/0/?nc=pieroc&real=&mod= Piero
  7. Good work. Well ... that Apollo 16 picture - I did not see it before; thanks for sharing!
  8. Fantastic images. It shows what the C9.25 can do. Piero
  9. Phenomenal! I do not think I have ever seen a picture of Clavius with so much detail. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Very nice images. It is great to see you persisted notwithstanding the clouds - and you had a reward! Piero
  11. Thanks for flagging that. Something odd happened in Pixinsight when converting from .fit to .jpg for saving an Astrobin compatible file. Piero
  12. Beautiful - I certainly cannot tell this is a mosaic. It is quite similar to an image I posted a few minutes ago. It interesting to compare different telescopes and processing. Keep up with the great work! Piero
  13. The seeing was really good last night. For this time I leave the mineral moon composition for a black and white and grey. It is a shame my picture does it not show as gorgeous as it really looked! Taken with an Esprit 150 and an ASI1600. Baader RGB filters. Clicking on the link is reccommended... https://www.astrobin.com/full/v576v4/0/?nc=pieroc&real=&mod= Comments and feedback always very gratefully received. Thank you. Piero
  14. Excellent image! I am not sure how the seeing was so good last night. I am not sure I have seen the Moon so well as last night! Piero
  15. Echo here. Excellent! Last night the seeing was just incredible. I normally focus on sharpcap on 100% or 150% max because the image is otherwise too wobbly. Last night I could focus at 400% - S T U N N I N G! I really look forward to seeing what some of the guys with the large scope have done last night!
  16. A beautiful image. Congratulations! Piero
  17. Very nice indeed and very good in my opinion for that being a single frame. Your 120ED seems great! Piero
  18. They were all lined last night but amazingly the ISS dodge them like in a cosmic game of snooker... By the way I think Venus will be visiting the Pleiades soon... of course it wil be cloudy...
  19. Thank you for the lovely comments. It is always a bit of a challenge to image the Moon when it is so low. There is only a small window after sunset when the sky is dark enough and the Moon is not too low.
  20. A close-up of Mare Crisium taken with an Esprit 150 f7 and a 2x Barlow lens. The image was taken on the evening of 27/3/2020 when the Moon was 10% illuminated. Better detail here: https://www.astrobin.com/full/9uropf/0/?nc=user
  21. Last night there was an interesting passage of the ISS whose path dodged the Moon, Venus and the Pleiades. The picture is an integration of 13 images. There are gaps in the ISS path - as I had taken 10 seconds images with a gap of approx 3-4 seconds between them. I wonder what the astronauts think of what is happening on planet Earth... Piero https://www.astrobin.com/full/3shhx2/0/
  22. It is really good for an 80mm telescope. I have also used the same setup with the ASI1600 mono , RGB filters and PI processing but a different telescope. Without wanting to detract from your ability - you have load!, I suspect it is the camera that it is really good for this kind of images. Good work! Piero
  23. I always take a breath before clicking on your images.... Amazing work. Well done. Piero
