  1. Happy Terrestrial Aphelion Day! Yep, today the earth is about 94.5 million miles from the sun :)

Well it's too hot here despite that! :D

  2. High speed winds over in my part of Colorado, USA! I would be out with the telescope doing solar observations, but this wind and these flying branches might threaten my telescope! :hiding:

  3. I spent a while outside watching for planes to transit the moon today; I saw no transits, but I had three close fly-bys. Maybe tomorrow!

Saw my first ever full central flyby yesterday as it goes, although have seen plenty of near ones

Good for you! Since the update, I have now had success recording a transit myself.

  4. Merry Christmas, everyone! best of wishes to all my stargazing buddies in the States, across the pond, and all over the world.

  5. :clouds1:  I'm having a pity party over here.

  6. Yay for Monday! Tonight is my astronomy night and one of the rare occasions when good weather and a clear schedule nicely align. Saw a beautiful shooting star and a bright Iridium flare, along with many other nice specimens.

  7. Saw a great ISS solar transit! this makes my second one, and the third if you count lunar transits. I never get tired of these! Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture:I don't have the right tools.
