  1. I think you did! The offer still stands ?
  2. I feel your pain, I think most of us have had nights like this (more than one!!) I'm not far away in Newark on Trent if you need any help just shout!! Cheers Ron
  3. Clear but poor seeing, tried my 1000dm on the 150PDS for 2 targets before the clouds rolled in at 1am. First is M90 for my Messier imaging set. next was NGC 4565 Both 10 x 300s dithered + Bias darks at ISO800 Thanks Ron
  4. I too own a 150PDS, the DSLR is in focus at 1-1.5 cm but I use a 45 mm extension tube to get an eyepiece into focus as has been said above. Good collimation is a must!! Good luck, it's a cracking scope!! Ron

  10. All sorted now Clive, loaded the newest version from Skywatcher's website and deleted the old app. Just tried it out with no problems and alignment working well. Ron
  11. Hi mate, I managed to get on the Skywatcher website and download a newer version of the app. I deleted the old app but need to set my gear up and see how this acts. I'll let you know what happens.. Ron (late of Cranwell!)
  12. I have used my SW WiFi module with the SynScan Pro app most of this year without a problem. Last night I set up as normal, got connected OK but when I tried an Alignment, nothing happened (the mount never moved although the app carried on!) I tried it a few times without success. If I aim at a named star, a DSO or a planet it goes to it without a problem? So has anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to delete the app and reload with out success too! Thanks Ron
  13. Scope arrived yesterday lunch, after unpacking and checking I decided to check the collimation. Miles out so I did a complete recollimation using a Barlowed Laser and set up the NEQ6 for a star test if the weather cleared! It cleared at 9pm and a quick star test proved the collimation was good! I observed a few early targets but wanted to try the DSLR out. It focused straight away with a new Bahtinov mask, I aim to get a Baader Mk3 CC soon but hardly any Coma shows on the 2 images I took. Both NEQ6 SW 150PDS Canon 1000dm APT and PHS 1.2 Very pleased with the results as these are only 10 x 180 s dithered so no Darks, Flats etc. I might add the SW WiFi refused to work half way through so back to the handset! Comments welcome Ron

  16. I've just bought a 150PDS, I'm sure I had one in 2012!!!
  17. I am also looking for a new scope but have ben doing AP for a couple of years now. I'm drawn towards a SW 150 PDS. It's good for visual and for AP with a DSLR. The price £218 is very competitive for a 150 reflector that you can use for photography and has lots of good feedback on this forum. Dobs are good for visual only and if you want to move onto AP then you will need to change the scope! Hope this helps.. Ron
