  1. Sorry to jump on this thread but can anyone suggest some decent sites for UK used equipment?
  2. I am almost ready purchase the HEQ5 Pro mount as recommended, if I get that and say the Sky Watcher 200PDS would that enable me to do what I want and last me a number of years before needing to upgrade? Thanks for all your advice so far
  3. Thanks again for the info, what should I be looking at around the £5-799 mark. Thanks again.
  4. Thanks for feedback, what about this instead, would this be better suited? Sky-Watcher Explorer-200P (EQ5 PRO) Parabolic SynScan GO-TO Newtonian Reflector
  5. Hi all :) Just looking to purchase my first telescope and wanted some advice, I was looking at purchasing the Celestron Nexstar 5SE as my first. I am very interested in astrophotography and things outside of our solar system, how do you think I would get on with this unit or could you suggest a better telescope for what I want. I don't mind a learning curve, no effort no gain as they say. Thanks in advance. Ian
  6. Thanks for the advice guys, I will certainly take it all on board. Quick question, can this all be controlled remotely via computer, my plan is to get the kit I need, build and obs in the garden and sit in my study and control it all As I said I like to jump in with both feet Thanks again. Ian
  7. Indeed, I would not expect to shoot such fantastic images as the ones above but would like to aspire to someday be able to
  8. Hi there, I am new to Astronomy and after looking through this site I have developed a desire to jump in with both feet. What sort of equipment would I be looking at to be able to take stunning images like the ones above from the POW. If you could let me know I can then work out a shopping list and get started, I would like to view the telescope through my PC rather than an eye piece if this is possible. Thanks in advance. Ian
