Sony A7ii for astrophotography

I've got a Flat73 on order along with the E mount bracket for my Z73. looking forward to trying it out soon Been enjoying just good old views out of Z73 too -
Hope someone can shed some light on this for me. I'm looking at purchasing a A7ii to go with my WO Z73 for some Astrophotography of Deep Sky Objects, Now I know if I was to Astro mod my A7 at somepoint this would bring improved results but is it a necessary change. can I still bring the colours out of things Like Andromedia without it?
