Looks like my rant was heard! Now a blue(ish) sky, not great - but perhaps good enough for last minute testing before packing up the gear for SGL9.

Just done 2 hours on Stephans Quintet. ATM im attempting the impossible - the Helix nebula. PHD is dancing all over the shop at that one.

Went well mate :) But found an issue that needed to be ironed out (slighty rubbish thread on the FW). All fixed now.

least u got some subs under your belt then.... :)

Why did they have to go? Was it just too much moon?

Well, while I was taking the snaps, fireworks were going off in the general direction of my imaging, loads of smoke, full moon and a poor sky (with large lunar halo).

First time its been clear for ages, but the sky quality isnt great.

I guided the car through the fog!

Yep, it did go a bit soupy in the end - not sure if the OIII data was much good TBH, needs a better sky.

Me to! Made a start on the Western Veil Nebula tonight. What did you go for?

NGC6820, a bit low at the moment but managed to get 90min out of it.
