  1. Meteor shower

    Awesome! Thanks Geordie 85 ๐Ÿ˜
  2. Hey everyone. I'm planning to go to the carpark in the sky, up at the campsies tonight to watch the meteor shower. Does anyone know if the sky will be clear tonight?
  3. I have, figured out how to focus the lease yesterday. Just need a clear night now to try it out at night.
  4. Cool! Just can't wait to start seeing some beautiful stars ๐Ÿ™‚ I have tried, but can't seem to see any. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I'm hoping to see the comet tomorrow night also. My partner got me the scope and a few books too, so have alot of reading to do. All the help I can get from here would be greatly appreciated also, as I'm just starting out ๐Ÿ™‚
  5. Thanks laudropd. Yeh the sky has been bad, have tried most nights since getting my scope but had no joy =(
  6. Awesome thanks britangler. I was wondering about the finder scope myself, cos I've seen alot of people have been mentioning the red dot finder scope. Will have a look for a new one. Also I got a Barlow x3 with it, will I get better and closer vision with this?
  7. Cool thanks guys. Really looking forward to getting started with it, has been something I've always been interested in. Just need to do a lot of reading and also practice on the scope ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  8. Awesome thanks Louise. Have it all set up on the tripod and have downloaded the app. Haven't had a clear night yet to fully try it out, you think maybe trying it out during the day is a better option for me to get the hang of it?
  9. Awesome thanks. Will download the app now and have a look ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  10. Hey everyone! Gill from Glasgow here. Got the Celestron Travelscope 70 Telescope for my Xmas. Would appreciate advice on how to get started with this. Looked up videos on YouTube, but they weren't that useful.
