Hi all, HOUK certainly did have a workshop at the location noted by Stuart1971. I know this because I visited there a few years back, met Gareth and had a good discussion about my obs before putting down a hefty deposit (£3.5K) I revisted the workshop earlier this year but there was no sign of life, or signage. Unfortunately this was just the workshop on a business estate, not Gareth's home address. I am still out of pocket with no observatory. I asked Gareth to cancel my order and provide a refund but he said he did not have the money to refund me. To the moderators of this forum, these are the facts, not necessarily a vendor bash. Just a recommendation to other potential customers that might hand over deposits to take precautions. There are some other facts about the situation that I will not discuss on this open forum. All, FYI, I just heard from Gareth. I won't go into details but HOUK is still in business but clearly has a large backlog to clear. Gareth was very apologetic. I may get my shed installed in the next 3 months, or less

I just visited the workshop address today, to hand over my order cancellation in person but it was locked up with no signs up. I know this is the right place, as I visited the workshop in 2020 and met Nathan and Gareth and their dog!

I placed an order for a fairly standard observatory from this supplier, back in Sep 2020. They warned me it might be a few months due to supply difficulties. I hadn't heard anything from them by Feb 2021, so sent an email. Nathan said they hoped to start on my order in March. Since then nothing. Tried calling both phone numbers last week and emailed but still no response. I even paid extra up front to help them through Covid. Here's what I received in Feb 21 Hi Steve, We are still here and working. Lockdown has made a few things difficult but we are still managing to get installations out. Looking at the schedule though, we should be on to your build in the next couple of weeks. Provided that all goes well, the weather was very conducive to work last week. But I will be in touch as soon as we are starting your build. Kindest regards Nathan
