If you have a Herschel Wedge try the UV filter in the mix esp if there is a decent sized spot.
interesting, i have never consider it for solar astrophotography. i did use my oiii filter before getting a continuum filter though

Certainly looks tome like extracting just the best frames from the best imaging run has produced the finer detailed image.

Not rubbish at all.
Saturn is a tough target even at the correct sampling rate, but it is certainly miles better than my first Saturn image .
Vlaiv is certainly right about the sampling rate, but i think most of us end slightly over-sampled when planetary imaging
I use a X1.8 Barlow with my Asi224mc which should give me F16, but with the focuser, ADC, is probably nearer F20. And with my Asi462mm i am definitely way over-sampled due the smaller pixel size.

Great set of images Geof, Saturn is still not an easy target even with the slight improvement in altitude.
Congratulations on your new great grandson, you really don't look old enough to be a great grand 🙂

8 years ! mind you Saturn has not exactly been nicely positioned in the sky in recent years.
A very good image to return with though, a little noise but nothing to bad

A fine reprocess, always worth trying different techniques on the same data

excellent image especially considering the conditions!
