  1. Fine set of images there Geof, especially with the current altitudes and conditions.
  2. Some nice details visible there, the planets are pretty difficult at the moment.
  3. Looked superb out of the spare bedroom window at that time as well.
  4. This a great topic for a challenge, its been really interesting watching all the coverage recently.
  5. A belated happy birthday, lovely sunset, that is a lot of wind turbines out there.
  6. Thanks you Freddie, can't imagine taking that picture a few years ago with a phone!
  7. They are pretty good single shots to be honest, its not an easy task imaging the planets at these altitudes.
  8. Blink and you will miss them at the moment! Its a bitboring, but a feel a real sense of anticipation for the coming years as the minimum ends and the new cycle "hots" up!
  9. That didn't last long, already vanished according to Spaceweather.com

  15. My oldest item is this book, nor sure where I got it from though. It comes complete with rather naive childish scribbles on the star charts. I guess I probably early teens circa 1980.
  16. I had that as well, it got donated to a local astronomy society only a couple of years ago!
  17. Very nicely captured, I think the ADC is certainty a help downn at the current altitude.
  18. A fine image, a decent level of activity especially for the aperture.
  19. Nice capture, there have been odd reports of cycle 25 spots for quite a while. I guess the previous cycle will keep going for a while, slowly being replaced by the new cycle. We have got a while to wait for the return of some Decent level of activity.
  20. Very nicely detailed disc's.
  21. I think i have still got a copy of it, somewhere on the bookshelf. My old Tasco 4.5" reflector, was passed on to a work colleague a few years back. I can vividly remember purchasing through my mothers Littlewoods club book.
  22. Sounds more the UK's conditions than Australia, i though it was "coast to coast blue skies" down there
