Kev, quite a turning point now, able to make use of it, wonderful.
Your build and JamesF amongst others has fed the 'want monster' and I am busy looking at options.
It may take a couple of years to become reality as like JamesF I have a lot of non astro jobs that need my attention too.
Keep on fitting out Kev and soon be done this millenia ? -
Where would we be without the weather to talk about......
oh out building observatories or observing......if only it worked that way
Good luck with it today James. -

I could smell the wood on the last set of images Kev, really I could.
This and JamesF and others posts and build are making me ponder a build myself now.- 1

I was wondering how this build was going Francis,
the trigger was driving through Kingstone earlier today on my way to visit relatives.
Looking great, what great wood, but then I would expect that to be the case having seen pictures of you guitars.

I guess when it's reliable, you don't need to talk about it too much
James
Thats probably why we DO talk about it so much then.

My thoughts were to make the observatory just a slightly tatty garden shed albeit with a strange roof. Goes with the tatty appearance of my property generally ?
Stealth mode, like it.

Kev,
Looking good.
I would put a full length cover of baton or metal over that 6mm gap myself, security screws holding it on.
Don't forget to paint behind that keep and raw edge.
That colour looks really nice indeed.
I had to laugh, I misread the baton fitting initially and thought it said bathroom.
Thought, hell yeah, why not, then pondered and thought, hell yeah, why not indeed, a loo is so needed in the cold.

I sense an air of sarcasm ?? but a blown vinyl works a treat lol ?
Had to tease, but I think a nice floral ??pattern would be nice ?

You are close for the structure, the fit out will take some time no doubt,
but you will be under cover and warmer so can crack on inside.
So what wallpaper are you going for? -
An ever evolving build Kev, but always looking better each posting.

If you do wire up before cladding the walls draw a diagram and take some pictures as well - It's easy to forget where the wires are should you need to drill a hole later!! ?
Spoken from experience Roger?
Certainly I have done such things myself,
worse many years ago completed a new pipe run and then fixed into it the next morning!- 2

William Optics 2" Diagonal to use with the Vixen ED103s.
Brand new in box but used from ENS, it was still sealed in its bag,
sorry FLO I was about to pull the new trigger.
In the new 2" Baader Clicklock on the focuser of the ED103s and its wonderful, nice fit.
I may change the WO 2" to 1.25" for a Baader clicklock as well.

That is a relief, I have time to ponder or move in that time.
Is there a somewhere basic plans are available or is it just copy others and make it up as you go?
