  1. We've got to Jupiter season again. Last night was superb. Often I am unable to bring myself to look at anything else when Jupiter is prominent.

      Jupiter is lovely when it's out. Mind you, so is the Moon, I'm really enjoying it in a way I never did with my Heritage.

      as hinted at by Mike above, I use full aperture when possible on all three scopes. often with the 16" though the view is better masked off to 170mm. if I can use full aperture though I do. that certainly allows for more moons to be detected with e.g. Saturn. also the detail when the seeing pops is just staggering.
