    Genesis Observatory

    My recent astroimages. Genesis Observatory is located in my back yard, in Moncton, Canada on the east coast.
  2. Hi everyone, I am building a 300mm serrurier truss (ST) right now as a winter project. I have attached a couple picture of my progress to date. I started out wanting to build a newtonian ST version of the tube to use as an imaging instrument for astro-photography. A 300mm F/5 would have been glorious! Unfortunately, halfway through the build, I realized that the tube assembly exceeded the payload weight limit on my mount by about 5 kg. So I decided to build a dobsonian version instead. I still have to build the rocker box and paint the entire thing. Clear skies, Francois Theriault Moncton, NB, Canada
