Hi Vlaiv. Give it a go my processing skills aren't great. Whenever someone posts their data i struggle with it. I rely on good data which needs very little processing.

Hi all. If like me you've been clouded out of it for weeks on end, a bit of relief might come in the form of data to play with. This is my Dusty Taurus from November 2018. 6.5 hrs in 150 second subs with my now sold (what was i thinking?) Tak Epsilon 130 and an Asi 071. A feint molecular cloud 450 light years from earth which includes Cederblad 30 and LBN 782 This was my effort https://www.dropbox.com/s/q2z3r90478lvyhl/St-avg-23700.0s-WC_1_3.0_none-x_1.0_MNC-NS-full-qua-add-sc_BWMV_nor-AA-RL-noMBB-lpc-cbg.fits?dl=0 Look forward to see what you can do with the data. Richard.

31mm vs 1.25 filters for asi1600pro
Allinthehead replied to AbsolutelyN's topic in Imaging - Discussion
Yes there's a large light drop off but there's a significant drop off with the Epsilon regardless of filter used. Here's a flat with an epsilon and full frame camera. -
31mm vs 1.25 filters for asi1600pro

I used a 1600 and 1.25 filters with my Epsilon at f3.3 without issue. Do you have the filter wheel mounted directly to the camera or are you using an adapter? -
M42 - 2 hrs of Dodgy Data - Just for fun!

That's definitely the way to go. I found my guiding improved with this method. Nice image too. You got some lovely star colour and detail. -
The Rosette Nebula (there's always room for more!)
Allinthehead replied to MartinB's topic in Imaging - Deep Sky
This is very nice indeed despite the problems. Some lovely golden hues and excellent detail. This i feel is where the 1600 is perfect for our sky conditions. I often set up my gear when conditions are poor. Cloud dodging has become a sport for me, with dozens of frames thrown out each session. I wouldn't have an image with a conventional ccd where 30 minute subs would routinely be rejected. -
Fabulous image Ola.

So i've pretty much narrowed down my next camera to one of the two sensors. I image with a Takahashi Epsilon 130 and would love to hear peoples opinions on the two sensors and which would suit my scope better. Cost wise i can get either zwo option at the same price but there's a large difference between the two Qhy offerings. About a grand in the difference. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-cameras/zwo-asi094mc-pro-cooled-usb-30-colour-camera.html https://www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-cameras/zwo-asi128mc-pro-cooled-usb-30-colour-camera.html Would the resolution of the 094 offer more than the very deep wells of the 128? Richard.

Thanks for that i'll have a look when i get a chance.

I had a look in the individual subs and no sign of it. Hard to tell as it looks very feint, whatever it is.
-
Anyone know what this is? I took flats for this session and i have subs from another target in the same session that doesn't have this. It looks like an edge on galaxy.

That's very nice of you say. Thanks Gorann.

Thanks Mick?

Thanks yes indeed a close up would be very interesting. Thanks Olly.

Thanks for taking the time to comment glad you like it.

Thanks don. Thanks Chris indeed i'm hoping to get lots more with the other panels. Thanks Toxo. Thank you too Bob. Thanks Ciaran. I do like the dusty stuff.

Thanks Adam. Unfortunately i haven't had any luck getting the collimation sorted yet. I've been using a laser but the laser itself needs collimating which is proving difficult. I'm not overly fussed at the moment as the stars are fine until zoomed in. Thanks Dave. Ah yes the Little Eagle is on my wishlist too. Can't wait to see yours. Thanks Peter

Thanks. Doh! forgot to include those details. 6.5 hrs in 150 second subs.

Hi. This was shot last Thursday night. A feint molecular cloud 450 light years from earth which includes Cederblad 30 and LBN 782. Plan here is a 4 panel mosaic. Shot through a Takahashi Epsilon 130 using a Zwo Asi 071 Mounted on an AzEq6 Captured using SgPro, Stacked with APP, Processed in APP, PS, and PI. Thanks for looking. Richard.

Yes. I really like this. From the blues to those beautiful golden regions this really shines.
