Hello everyone first time on here may take a while to get used to it. I'm looking to buy 2 telescopes one for my 8 year old nephew and later one for myself(currently using binoculars)

Ask the question in the beginners help and advice section, that is where most read and reply. For nephew I would say a simple refractor with maybe a couple of extra eyepieces for quality and wider views. For yourself need to know what you are primarily interested in. If photography comes into it then say so as that makes a significant difference. Also budget.
