Revisited this again, but with my bigger 200p so less FOV , 1200s x 4 in Ha, 1200s x 3 in SI and OII. i really like the colour I have got on the left but I know the right side is possibly too green!

Just over 2 and half hours worth of data on both, Soul nebula is with Ha x 4 1200s Sii x4 600s and OIII x 4 600s and using HA as luminance, Cave nebula is Ha x 4 1200s, RGB 120s x 15 in each, and again using HA as luminace. Its my first go with both targets, only over time I will get better! but any constructive advice is always great full! :) Soul NebulaCave Nebula

Thank you Mick , I’m hoping for some clearer nights so I can put some more hours into it but that is looking slim ( joys of the great British weather ) Gareth

Since my smaller scope is now broken, grub screw wont go into the focuser! I had to change to the 200p, so here is 1200x4 in Ha, 1200x4 in Sii and 120x3 in Oiii ( I forgot to add the last 0 ! and went to bed -_- ) No darks or flats ( in the middle of doing them for this scope ) My collimation I reckon is out, so I need to sort that out, but overall very happy with the final outcome :)

I’m just on the fence with my mag skies being 19.24, but they have just installed led lights now all around so hopefully it might go up ( or not ha ) on my next night when ever that might be ( joy of our weather eh ) il have a play with it all, try gain 200 / 50 and probably go for a exposure of 2 minutes and work from there I presume this is why it looks also slightly out of focus aswel ? Even tho my focusing is bang on ? Gareth

Hi adrian, thank you! It was puzzling me ( I didnt grasp what was being said in the CN post when I read it but now you made it clearer. ) I’m under class 6, so not ideal ha but I do Go up to a farm where it’s class 4, I haven’t gone higher than 139/50, I wasn’t brave enough, I’ve jumped from a dslr after a few years to a cmos, so it’s all abit alien but a very fun and reward learning curve ? . Even after watching a lot of videos ( easier for my brain to process ) things do sink in after the 5th time of watching it. Gareth

Hi all, I decided to be a dedicated person for once in my life and stay up till now ha, I give you the elephant Trunk nebula, taken with my Esprit 80, with a 1600mm-Pro and a 120mm-mini for guiding. 600 x 6 and 4 x 1200 in Ha, 600 x 6 and 2 x 900 in SII and 600 x 6 in OIII ( a lot of ands.. sorry! ) Flats only, no darks, cooled down to -20, All stacked and processed in AstroArt 7. Let me know what you think!

It always is , was getting really annoyed with myself thinking what have I done wrong , thank you

I decided to empty my wallet some more and buy the polemaster which is a incredible camera for the money, and I can accurately polar align within 5 minutes, I can then get subs of about 3 minutes just using the mount ? well worth the money ? and very easy to use

After much fiddling I finally got my guiding going! Here is 10 minutes x 5 in Ha, 5 minutes x 2 in GB. Flats only. Currently doing a run of darks ( 6 hours to go! )

Haha I do apologise!!!

Mine is coming today! Plus a filterwheel ? hense the rubbish weather for the next week or so ha

I’m blown away by the accuracy of the mount tbh, think you’re better at polar aligning than myself ha! Here’s mine .. a 49x2 minutes on horseshead

So here’s a test shot ( just stars! Nothing to special like a galaxy or nebula) with the zwo 1600mm pro mono, I had a brief window of about a hour and half last night, I polar aligned, and then took a couple of pictures, first one I forgot to put the guiding on in eqmod. Star trails galore... i then enabled guiding within eqmod. this was just pointing straight up , with a 20 sec exposure with my esprit 80, on the eq6-r, no darks or lights just a single shot with just the camera, first light, and no phd guiding as I forgot to get the right attachment! Dosey I am at times ha! I have now downloaded all the stuff needed to platesolve so hopefully on the next time I get out I will have something of interest to show ...
