  1. Thank you for your responses, I'm more familiar with how Stellarium works
  2. I have just taken stock of my first scope and am a complete beginner so appologies for this... According to Stellarium the Moon doesn't show its face till 4:00am I am from the UK and live in Birmingham. If I am correct when will the Moon be appearing at a more appropriate time? Thank you.
  3. I have just purchased my first scope, the Celestron Omni 127 with a 25mm eyepiece. When purchasing additional eyepieces can I go for any make or do I have to stick with Celestron? Or are they measured by size? Are they universal?

    Hey Will! Welcome to SGL
  6. Hi, I should be taking stock of my first telescope today or Monday and as you can imagine would like to get it out as soon as possible. Just wondering what information you use to determine if it will be clear skies or not. I'm guessing the Met Office? I am from the UK. It seems tonight will be clear in the West Midlands according to the Met Office.
  7. Hey everyone, I'm 26 originally from Lancashire, moved to Birmingham, Moseley this year. I am studying Horology. I have just caught the Astronomy bug and am a beginner. I recently purchased a Celestron Omni XLT 127 and am awaiting delivery.Any advice on my new kit? Anyone from Birminham/Moseley on these forums, would be nice to hear from you all.
