Newtown Astronomy Society's next meeting is on October 8th 7pm when Dr Pauline Norris will be giving a talk

'The Ancient Egyptians and their Astronomy' Dr Norris has a particular interest in how the ancient Egyptians used astronomy in their belief system and what the saw in the sky - topics technically known in reverse order as 'Skyscapes' and the relatively new discipline of cultural astronomy. The meeting will take place in the Newtown Scout Hut, Park Lane, Newtown , Powys SY161EN  For further details contact A.
