  1. anyone here using hyperstar with alt-az (non eq mount)? i have the small hyperstar 6, still waiting for the weather to clear up for the first light
  2. hello everyone, i was experimenting StellariumScope to control my CG5 using ASCOM driver, fyi i didn't properly align my mount during the testing, i'm currently at 6 degree south latitude, i set the Stellarium's longitude and latitude correctly however according to my current location, the GOTO works fine on the first star - Canopus - then i slew the mount to Venus, during the slew to Venus the DEC motor housing hit the RA/main motor housing, i was panicked and cut the power, hope i didn't damage the gear, is this something expected since i didn't polar align the mount according to my location? or some star hoping must be carried out with caution? from my experience this never happen if i use the hand controller, or maybe i'm missing some finer details here.
