Note I didnt have my finderscope at this stage so I had to swap tubes after I had done my polar alignment - not an easy task! -

Just another pic at prime focus - the 2M focal length of the C8 really makes it a fine planetary scope. Will see how it works out for the Leo Triplet and post my attempts here. -

This was my first try with the new C8 and the ZWO ASI120MC - as luck would have it one of the moons was in transit - this was stacked in Registax - it's no damian peach but hey I went out the back garden - he goes to Barbados... -

I started thes 10 x 1 min capture and went out to the shops - didnt realise ther was a tree in the way - hence the image has a brown tinge - tree got hacked at the next day. Claos quite a lot of blooming from the outer stars - a slight wind on the night didn't help - after this i adjusted the slop out of the worms in my mount - its all one big learning process.... -

About 12x1 min subs here at iso 800 and a couple at 1600 and just processed in autostacker. Getting focus is a little painstaking - I have to reconnect the camera and mount it after a 20 second sub to check the focus on the laptop. It does the job though - camera cost me 120 euro. Who said astrophotography is expensive?
