  1. i have purchased a sky's the limit 1.25'' uv/ir cut premium high transmission filter for solar viewing and would appreciate more information regarding this filters capabilities
  2. recently saw this on the astronomy and nature centre on you tube the scope technix red dot finderscope with auto shutdown amazing bit of kit downside is where can i obtain one it appears to be in high demand ebay dont sell it any ideas
  3. thanks tried all that it did start to work then stopped and yes it was switched to north i reckon there is a wiring fault any way it is being returned to be replaced by the seller
  4. i am having a real problem with these r/a motor drives the selestron motor drive arrived today light powers up no movement at all from the motor itself even after 1 hour are these motor drives unreliable or is it sheer bad luck on my part

  6. cheers gordon the naglers mentioned are the top dog of eyepieces rather jealous settled for 3 element plossl instead still good for viewing

    Hi i first started astronomy in 1979 i carried on for many years and then lost interest i now have an 8 inch reflecting telescope with motor drive ready to start again hopefully this will be ongoing i have also found an interest in solar viewing and astro photography any meetings or information greatly appreciated
