  1. Hi, tried that, looks like the problem's in the threading of the diagonal piece after all because after it screws tight it loosens again. I'll grab another diagonal of amazon I guess! Thanks,
  2. Update: he problem when trying to assemble with both is the thumb screw for the diagonal won't thread in to hold the Barlow, even though the screw and the thread is fine. (The screw tightens without the Barlow lense in place but not with)
  3. Hi. I just got mine (first scope!) yesterday. Silly question but can you use the Diagonal piece and Barlow at the same time? I can't seem to have both screwed in, only one or the other, and the manual implies you should only use one at a time "remove diagonal and insert Barlow lense." Any thoughts?
  4. Thanks everyone! Nice to meet you all
  5. Haha, thanks for the forgiveness. I've scolded my apple device accordingly
  6. Ps: The picture I attached with my first post is just a Venus sunset from Worthing Beach on my Moto G
  7. Hi all! What a lovely welcome, you're a friendly bunch I can't do horoscopes, the "astrology" was a terrible typo! Which is quite funny as I've chosen to call myself "Kepler" who stargazed at a time when people didn't differentiate between the two I took my avatar pic with a night cam app on my iPad, it's the recent snow moon with Jupiter on the left. I'm really new to photography which is why it's all blurry and glowy! I then just went through filters on my iPad to find the one that showed off Jupiter nicely. I don't have a scope yet, though I have a celestial refractor 70 coming in the post hopefully on Saturday as well as a moon filter, so I hope to start taking some better pictures Thanks again for the lovely welcome.
  8. Thanks for the warm welcomes!
