After seeing all the fantastic images I know what scope I'm treating myself to next payday! I'm using a 130 at the moment with a very, very bodged focuser that now has no focus wheel aha fully push in and out kind of deal now.

It might be of no help and I don't do deep sky as I can't afford a proper camera so I just webcam planetary, I stuck some sticky back wheel balancing weights to my scope for when the webcam is in and the heavier eyepiece, I only have a beginner scope but they work pretty well. I guess you could put a few on a Velcro strip and put that on the scope so they come off easy.
The 130pds is a scope I hope to own one day and of course a camera that doesn't have (bridge) at the start aha

I've just followed this for my RA gears, couldn't do the Dec because of lack of tools but after taking the RA apart I found they had put the grease on the shaft and none on the gears!! No wonder my clutch wasn't working properly... Thanks for this!
I know its an old post but its still providing useful information!!!
Just need to get the scope on and make fine adjustments and it should be all ready to go and hopefully the crazy amount of backlash has gone down a bit.
