  1. Indeed, even I can connect that up to my kit. Good call. thanks
  2. Yeah, just the 6 I'm afraid else i'll be laughing with all the options for 12v. Guess its time to upgrade my kit
  3. No worries, has been interesting reading Still totally confused but hey ho, this topic isn't straight forward. Think i'll get a couple more Duracells
  4. I can solder, but not sure I fancy going down this line. Knowing my luck i'd blow something up Thanks for the thought Sean
  5. Hi.. I like the idea of this, however it looks to be 12v output. I need 6v. or is 6v an option on this model? Sean
  6. Hi Folks Needing some advice on power tanks. I have eq3 set up with skywatcher dual axis drives which runs from 6v battery pack I've looked at tanks and bought myself a Skywatcher 7mah power tank having 3/6/9 v outputs I've had 2 of these delivered and both gone back as not working. They wont charge, well the charge led doesn't come on. If I turn them on the "Needs charging" led comes on so its kinda working. Is this a known issue? Is there a better alternative? TIA Sean
  7. Not heard of that one. I'll check it out, thank you
  8. Hi all I have a Nikon D3300 that records movies in mov format and I want to convert these to load into registax. I have tried this before but registax keeps complaining about unknown format. Has anyone had success converting formats that will load? Any recommendations on software to convert the videos? Many thankSean
  9. I have the "Deluxe" version I think I need to do what the other guys have suggested ie wait for better conditions and or try smaller eyepieces to check the barlow before i splash out on a new barlow. Roll on decent skies. Thanks
  10. Hi.. thanks for the reply. I do have pretty good seeing conditions here (well not much light polution but guess the atmospheric conditions could be better at the moment) but do understand what you are saying.. looks like time to invest in a new eyepiece with less magnification. Sean
  11. Good morning I seem to have focusing problems when using my 5mm - BST Explorer ED Eyepiece with my skywatcher 2x Barlow. Using the eye piece alone I get a pretty sharp image but when used with Barlow the focus seems reduced. Is there some incompatibility with these items or am I just going blind in my old age. I believe I'm not over stretching the ability of my scope, or perhaps I am. Thoughts? Thanks Sean
  12. Thanks guys, now to save my pennies for the interface and some cables. Thankfully with the weather as is I'm not missing many opportunities to photograph
  13. Hi, thanks, looks like this is the missing piece of the puzzle in my setup. I've seen similar mentioned but not really understood what its for as assumed the enhanced handset did some of the work. Guess I was wrong Thanks
