  1. Hey Fellow Astronomers.

I was curious about Sky-Watcher Synguider Autoguider II, and the Celestron StarSense Accessory for Sky-Watcher Mounts.

Can you use these together on the same mount? Lets say with an EQ5 pro ? or a lesser mount.

Also can they be used with an alt/az mount? say a goto dob. I know you cant really do any good astro photography with the goto dobs but I@m wondering would the auto align work, and then the auto guide keep it aligned for longer so to speak?

First try out last night. Aligned it OK. I live in Coventry. Bortle 6. Need to try fiddling with gain/exposure etc. Would much prefer to use my tablet rather than on a little phone screen but unistellar haven't written the app for tablets yet. Very easy to use after 10 minutes learning curve. Looking through the eyepiece is pointless as the picture is clearer on my phone screen.

    Very happy.

When you look through the EP you see all that colored noise? if so then it would REALLY put me off, especially considering the price.

  3. An object a dark orange/brown travelling north to south. Half pea sized at arms leather with a fuzzy outline.

Object travelling fast, after about 40 degrees above horizon  sharp right angle towards west for approx 20 degrees. Then another sharp turn back to south, could see the drop off curve as it approached the horizon.

There is play in the bearing. It should not be

like that.  These come with a 2 year warranty.

It needs sorting out.  Leave it alone. Get in

touch with who U bought it off of. Not a cheap

bit of kit, to muck around with.

    Steve.

How do I contact Celestron ?

I will check mine later and see if it is the same. Mine has play on the ALT clutch but that is normal. How does it feel and act under load? Wondering now if there is a link between this and your earlier tracking issue?

    Thanks mate, let me know.
