  1. Very disapointed. My Nikon D3100 overexposures in all modes in daylight condition except for manual setting mode. Seems to have metering issues, not sure if it's the camera or the standard lens. Practically all white photos.

I'm not sure Ronin, was bought very cheap second hand, just the body, then bought a second hand lens. Some Nikons has exposure issues with certain lenses and not all have the same problems. This is the 2nd problem on the list for it but I don't think I can fix this one. I've reset the camera settings many times, checked re-checked, everything is on default settings. Even in manual setting mode I need to move the exposure level meter almost completely to the right (- side).

I did test it when I first got it late last year inside my home at night in low light conditions, the flash pops up and it takes good shots. It's really got me stumped. Second test was yesterday, mid afternoon, sunny day, couldn't get anything, almost white shots with a little vague forground image that showed up, can't even edit the shots they were that bad and deleted. I did originally think it was modded but now I don't think it is. Light metering is way out. Just a dud buy.

The only things I can think of to do now is like you say Ronin is check the ISO setting but I thought the set auto shot settings like Landscape, Portrait, Sports etc all have set values, I tried them all. Quite sure I had it set to 100ISO or 200ISO max during the day. Or I can update the firmware from A1.01 to A1.02 and hope it fixes it, don't like my chances.
