      Hi Reggie,

I saw that was going to happen tonight.  I think we're a bit late on it.  Any pictures?

BTW, I think they're going to play the Halloween video on Saturday at the VIS banquet.

Hope all is well with you.

      Don

Hey, Don. Everything is great. I shot some video of the occultation that I'm going to post. I was up until 2:40 a.m.! That's great about the VIS banquet; I'm going to make it a Halloween ritual to show my friends our video. I had shared it with some of the local astronomers; they were really impressed. Plus, we just got some nice upgrades on the local observatory and planetarium. I'm stoked! :happy7:

      Hope you're doing well, too,

      Reggie

I'm looking forward to seeing the videos , moon is up during the daytime here in states. No moon at night , man I wish my dsi would work perfect for imaging those really faint fuzzies. SB

  5. Out hunting Perseids this morning! Just came inside for a moment to post. My first was a bright one with a long trail in the western sky, streaking in an almost perfect line from north (just under Ursa Major) to south (under Boötes). Stellar! Hope everyone gets an opportunity to see some. Peace out :headbang:

Glad you got some clear skies to observe them. Clouded out again last night, but hoping for a clear spell tonight. :)

No problem, Don. It was so nice of NASA to do that. Prince is one of my main musical inspirations

All of these images are fabulous, Don. Of course, the Horsehead holds a special place, and magically transforms into Rudolph during the Christmas season, lol! Best, Reggie

    M31 - third attempt

Beautiful photos, Alan. I especially love the detail and color you brought out in M42. You the man! Regards, Reggie
  10. Thanks, Dave! Pluto will always be a planet to me :-) I'm looking forward to the Mars perigee in May, too; planning on getting some good shots. Oops, we're not supposed to respond to postings. Sorry, Martin Peace and comet grease, Reggie
  11. Hi, all. Amateur astrophotographer here trying to avoid the slippery slope, haha. Here are some of my best astrophotos of 2015 using a Nikon D50 and an Orion 127mm MakCass (it was difficult to choose just five images; I had to include two shots of Pluto to indicate its motion): Comet Lovejoy: Hercules Cluster: NGC 884: Pluto 1: Pluto 2: Orion Nebula: M31 and friends: Thanks for looking. Clear skies! Reggie
  12. Thanks for the info, Davey. You can add Uranus to list in the early evening. I believe it's still at a good elevation for those in the U.K. We can still see it in the States. Neptune is a bit low right now, even in the U.S. Clear skies! Reggie
  13. Ok, I'll bite! A Little Space Music Big Mak & Lil' Mak Regards, Reggie
