  1. Crackin' shot! Love the reflections in the lake, too! Regards, Reggie🤩
  2. Here are a few prime focus shots of Pons-Brooks using my Orion 127 Mak-Cass and Nikon D3200. The comet was nestled next to Hamal (Alpha Arietis), just north of Jupiter, an easy target! In the U.S., the comet will be visible during the total solar eclipse on April 8! Cheers! Reggie
  3. Nice go of it, Hals. Jupiter and Uranus will have a close conjunction within a low-power telescopic view for a few days in late April (19-21). I plan on getting some shots. It will be a challenge because it's dropping low here in the States as well. Cheers, Reggie
  4. Wow! That's a whole lotta scope! Great first light! You're going to have lots of fun with that one Reggie
  5. That's what I thought but wasn't absolutely sure. Thanks!
  6. Beautiful image, Kostas! Thanks for sharing with us Reggie
  7. Beautiful images. Great detail Regards, Reggie
  8. Beautiful image, Harvey. Very smooth and natural Regards, Reggie
  9. Nice one, Kostas. It's been quite a planetary season. I look forward to adding Mars back into the loop and Saturn edge-on! Regards, Reggie
  10. Cracking image, Pete! I've heard the conditions haven't been great there. Reggie
  11. I love your animations, Geof. Please, take good care of yourself Regards, Reggie
  12. Words and phrases I avoid: never, always, one more, no more, just this time, my worst, my best, my last - they get me every time! BTW, lovely, smooth and natural image, Geof
  13. Hi, my friend. I like the look of the first image (minus the crop lines); it has a more natural look. As to cameras, I LOVE my ASI 224mc. I use it as my exclusive planetary camera with my 180 and 127mm Maks. You can get one for really cheap given its age, and it is still top-notch. Here is one of my better images taken with it, using Firecapture and processed in Registax 6: Some vital statistics: Sensor: 1/3” CMOS IMX224/IMX225 Resolution: 1.2Mega Pixels 1304X976 Pixel Size: 3.75µm Sensor Size: 4.8mm*3.6mm Diagonal: 6.09mm Exposure Range: 32µs-1000s ROI: Supported ST4 Guider Port: Yes Focus Distance to Sensor: 12.5mm Shutter Type: Rolling Shutter Protect window: AR coated window Operating System Compatibility: Mac, Windows, Linux Interface: USB3.0/USB2.0 Bit rate: 12bit output(12bit ADC) Regards, Reggie
  14. Thanks, George! I believe it was only visible from North America. I was fortunate to see it, especially dealing with the clouds, lol.
  15. Thanks, Geof! I was dodging cloud the whole evening. I didn't get as much data as I wanted but I'm happy with what I got
  16. Thanks, bosun21! I'm sending you clear skies
