  1. There is a celestron omni xlt 150mm reflector on sale on kijiji and is selling for 225, brand new the scope is like 600 bucks after taxes, I already own a 4 inch refractor on a altazimuth mount and my next step is AP. Can I do DSO AP with this mount? does a DSLR attach to this scope and is there enough back focus? any comments? It would also be good expereince for me using a GEM mount which I have not used yet. Michael
  2. Hi my name is MIchael and am fairly new to Astronomy and have caught a interest in solar observing/imaging, however I am a little bit paranoid about my eyes, Are the H-Alpha telescopes made by Cornado totally safe? I am sure they are cause I know they are very popular. I am just paranoid LOL. Can I attach a DSLR to a PST? So basically I want to know are they idiot proof lol and come in the box ready to use? Michael
  3. Hello My name is Michael and I am fairly new to astronomy and new to this forum. Right now i Have a 4 inch refractor for visual use and would like to get into imaging in the next 6 months or so and am looking at different setups. Does anyone have any experince with Celestron Adavance vx 6 inch or 8 inch newt? I am scared of purchasing the setup and it not having enough back focus to focus a DSLR. I have watched videos that says it does. I am a total begginer to AP, I will be getting a Canon T4i in october, If anyone has any reccomnedations for a Newbie to AP I am all ears. budget probably around 1500 to 2000 for scope and mount. thanks Clear Skies Michael
