  1. Thanks again, guys! I'm acclimated to the altitude here so it's not really a problem. Yes, we have dark skies but also a lot of trees which could make seeing a little hard lol. Actually the telescope is at our weekend place in Palm Springs CA where I've been busy making a raised platform for the scope and getting the feel of it. John

  3. At 6,750' elevation; I'm returning to the hobby after a long hiatus. Just got my 10" Orion XT10g dob and finished making a sturdy, raised platform for it. Now on the prowl for an additional eyepiece (or two)! John
