  6. Hi Alex, It is working well so far
  7. Hi Eifionglyn, The apo fracs are well used by the imagers on SGL to produce stunning pictures, and with no CA excellent visual use. I have the ST120 as my grab&go scope, could not get a 200p in the roof box or the boot when travelling with the hounds. I accept that with this scope there will be some CA, but the aperture, wide field views outweigh the short comings for me, for others not so. A longer focal length refractor handles CA a little better. Bang for buck a dob or newt is king. personally I prefer refractors or SCT's. It is cheaper to produce mirrors than well corrected glass! hence the price differential..

  15. The diy approach works really well, have two one on a frac and another on a mak.
  16. If you clean the mirrors carefully you will not scratch them. Whilst they do not need cleaning often at all, I would also look at the way you are cleaning them.

  20. Interesting find, though I think if it was a meteorite there would less sharp edges unless it was more iron based. Does look like a piece of slag. 23. Hi There, The luminos barlow is a great piece of kit. I have not had the Antares 31mm but do have the Antares 34mm 70 deg. These are made in Canada & I found the 34mm to be a very good ep.The Antares will provide you with 24X.
