  1. to split or not to split what is best. i have a very little used omegon 100mm 45degree binocular on a well used libec t77 tripod ,sound, but has a crack in one of the upper leg clamps i put two two heavy duty ties on it [works fine , spares are available from libec if needed ] the head a well used h70 this had a crack where one of the two handles fitted , now mended with a block of ali. the head works fine. the tripod has its spreader plus new rubbers and a homemade dolly ali and wood with 4.5 inch wheels, takes 2 min to remove the dolly and just use the tripod as is. also 2x antares w70 25mm eyepieces 2x 20mm wide angle [70 degree i think] .2x swa 70 degree 15mm. 2x b c and f 1.6 magni-max and two home made ali solar filters plus two optech padded lens covers. the whole thing looks awesome and is a joy to use. so is it best to split or sell as is ? !!!
  2. on hot uk deals , a set of four washing machine anti vibration pads for 99p posted !!!!! might be good for astro d. i. y. etc.
  3. on my chinese ba6 100mm binoculars i used five inch silver metal knock out bottom cake tins, looks the bees knees. p.s. no baking was involved at any time.
  4. yes, magical moments, many people just cannot see the natural beauty that is around them.
  5. yep, i too have been using the green [and the red ones] the internal threads grip most eyecups nicely. i also use 35mm film plastic containers for dust plugs on my 100mm binoculars - every penny is a prisoner.
  6. very interesting john, thank you , i have to say i am after the shorter sized variant of the 25mm as it is the only one of the w70 25s that comes to focus in my 100mm binoculars. regards stuart.
  7. in looking for two matching 25mm antares w70 25mm 1.25mm eyepieces i have so far found that there are three variants of the 25mm, a short bodied and two types of larger bodied 25 mms , does anyone know the history of this eyepiece please.
