  1. Hello Bill,

Just tested my Arduino without the sensors connected & get the same error you're getting (I'm using SGPo)... once you have all your components do a pre-build test & let me know if you still have issues.

      Hi Bill,

I like the design of 3d prints, hopefully one them will give the result you need.

Seems the rain sensor board has has adjustment for sensitivity... can't remember ever changing mine, I just set both the Wet & Dry Threshold sliders to 80%images.jpeg.623cd5f2d8a3ac74ae6f8110a8d97401.jpeg

Not sure where you sourced your project box, mine was described as waterproof but the supplied lid seal leaked & screws went rusty!

Any chance you can tell me exactly where in the code you made the changes?

      Cheers

Yes, restrict the field of view... forgot to mention that!

Guess you need to narrow the aperture a little more, I used appropriate sized rubber O-ring inside the tube as this depending on position reduced the angle/field... already had an assorted set.

Had the same issue when I first tried mine, I'll sort out a picture of my improvised solution & post it here... sometime later today!

At the time I found a garden hose to tap connector that has split (see picture), inverted with the rubber seal removed I found using thin wire held it in place... as you can see the setup has weathered badly!

Something similar in black plastic or rubber should do the trick, just need to get the apeture right & make sure you have drainage!

Quick snapshot of mine running tonight, you can ignore where it reads...

      Indicates:

      Overcast or Fog

      that never changes!

All looking good, shame about the error... if it was a USB issue you might find upon reconnection the com port has changed, (usually increases by one) it happened to me a few times & was always a USB connection error. h

I'm interested to know what temperature was your IR sensor giving you?

I'm only using it as a monitor as my ROR only just clears my parked mount when opening, it's only millimetres!

For some reason the IR sensor reading was way out when first tried it, from memory something like minus 180C. With trial & error managed to sort this by restricting the veiw & eventually got it within the safety monitors range.

It's possible to adjust the IR sensor firmware but never sorted how to gain access!
