  1. Could be , I did attach file from photos ,I did try my laptop with no luck then sent image to iPad ,oh well it's a pity I'm 3 days into a 29 trip I'll have plenty of time to work on it
  2. My first half hearted image 45x50 subs,20 darks and 20 bias unguided and unmodded and my limited capabilities at photoshop, Ironically I have autoguiding capabilities to no avail hence the short subs, Meta guide seems to be the only compatible software for my mount which I cannot get it going or my ignorance fails me probably the latter. All critiques advice are welcome ,feel free to tamper with it. Hopefully this goes through as I'm offshore at the moment and my company are quite fickle about uploading photos of any description
  3. I am fortunate to be on a vessel in the North Sea at the moment I had some good viewing last night and it looks like tonight is going to be the same. skies out here are very clear.
  4. I have the same Orion XT 10 I use 4 ep's, An ES 30 mm 2" 70'series with the skywatcher coma corrector straight in. A 2" Tal 24mm 80' with a 35mm extension and a badder coma corrector. Two 1.25" ep's an ES 16mm and a WO 9mm 72'. And a luminos 2.5x Barlow which I rarely use. All but the Barlow and the WO were bought second hand. There's a big second hand market out there astrobuysell The comas too me are a must for the low powered ep's, not everybody uses them though it's ones own personal preference. I had many focusing issues at the start but I've kind of Sussed it now after spending money on unnecessary bits and pieces. I mainly use the low powered ep's now for dso's. Good luck mate with your xt10. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  8. Having had a major moment focusing with my 2" eyepiece , I went and purchased an adaptor, bearing in mind when the eyepiece slotted in the focuser without an adaptor, the focuser being full out, another cm and we would have been focused , with adaptor in and the focuser right in it needed about a cm that way ,so was still out of focus. the adaptor came out, focuser fully out I slotted in eyepiece pulled eyepiece out cm or so and hey it was in focus. I would rather have an adaptor in there,so will look for a shorter one.
