  1. Weather has been very windy at Moorlands this weekend - which is typical. The top field is very exposed so hope things quieten down for your visit. The wind has been coming from the North East so cold. There was quite a few tents in the field on Friday - not sure how many stuck it out all weekend! Looking forward to meeting you here Pete Lodge Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Hi Schrohr - is the 2" you refer to the focal length of the lense? Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Hi Schrohr - thanks for the reply. I am new to all this - you sugested a 2" lense - how does that work with my 1.25" standard set up?
  4. Hi Nightfisher - have you stayed at Moorlands before. The site is exposed with good viewing, which prompted me to get a telescope. There are lights to all hook up posts which may be a problem. The camping field at the back will be dark. Have you spoken with Steve/Peter the owners to arange the group? Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Thanks all - new to this so all advice appreciated. Thanks Pete Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Hi I have just bought a Skywatcher 150P reflector. Getting to grips with the eqatoial mount and the counter weights! Think I`ve got it now. Be good to get some practical advice. Pete Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Hi - I am a ne owner of a Skywatcher 150P reflector, it came with - 25mm, 10mm & 2*barlow lenses. Would a 6.5mm or a 4mm lense be worth investing in? Thanks Pete Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Hi - Just stumbled onto this - I have just bought my first telescope as I live at Moorlands so this event will be a great introduction for me. Looking forward to seeing you all here. Pete
